How can I make a Samsung TV wake up when the PC is turned on, similarly to a monitor?

Hello!

I am currently using a Samsung T24D391EW TV with HDMI as a monitor. As such, it needs to be turned on every time I turn the PC on. It is entirely a first world problem, but I would still like for it to behave like a classical monitor. Is that possible?
 

I tried setting up the CEC option to YES but it didn't change much.

I tried setting my motherboard BIOS setting "Wake on LAN" to on because some claimed that that will do it, but it doesn't seem to work. The motherboard in question is an Asus B150 Plus if that is relevant.

If the tv doesnt have a wake in hdmi input option you are sol

As a fellow Samsung TV owner, CEC is just an option that allows for a non-Samsung remote to control your Samsung TV, so that wouldn't help unless your PC (or something else) could emulate a remote and send a signal for turning on the TV (I forget if CEC is over bluetooth or infrared?)

You can try the app color control, which allows LG TVs to wake on LAN. But idk if it works with Samsung aswell.

 

The app also didn't work 100% consistently in my case, sometimes taking very long to turn on the TV, or turning it off when I didn't really want it to (for example when rebooting), so I ended up not using it in the long run. Having to turn your TV on or off is something you get used to pretty quickly, and it doesn't really bother me anymore.
