Horizontal AIO

krauzuz

Okay so I can’t find any information about this anywhere, if I mount an AIO vertically at the front of my case and then put the case on its back horizontal will this impact performance. I did it yesterday as an experiment and I got 11c cooler than when it was standing upright. CORSAIR H150 standard version 360mm rad

Not ideal, as you want the top of the rad to be the highest point in the loop for air bubbles, but they would be on the same level if I am understanding what you are saying

Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the aio is ABOVE the pump else it will be shortlived.

But a pic would help a lot. Could just be your case is severly airflows tarved and flipping it gave it more room to breath.

As long as the pump is not the highest point of the AIO loop, changing the computer orientation should not have significant impact on performance. I also assume that you don't obstruct airflow (intakes and exhausts).

When heavy hard drives and CD trays were very common, it was frequent to see computers boot in only one orientation. Nowadays with SSDs, you can get away with almost any position without issue.

It’s a 4000D airflow and I took the side panel off for the picture

Maybe a bubble was stuck.
