Gtx 1660 or 1660ti?

BitGamerPlays

Heyo! So i've been on integrated graphics for abt 6 years and this year is finally the end of it. Ik this might not be the best choice but im really tight on budget and unfortunately cant go used. So here in Bangladesh the gtx 1660 costs 14.5k(abt 120 usd) and basically the other usable choice under 15k is the rx 580 (2080sp) but im concerned abt the drivers with the card. But if I add 8k more(abt 66 usd) im able to get the super or ti version of the gtx 1660(depends on store) im leaning more towards getting the ti version tho.

So tldr, is the gtx 1660 ti worth 66 usd more? Or should i stick with the gtx 1660.(Btw im using the i5 6500, ik it's gonna bottleneck the card alot but my budget rn doesn't really allow for a upgrade specially considering the mobo prices in bd rn)

If im doing the math right, you'd be paying a 55% premium for an average 15% performance uplift (Ti) or a 9% uplift (Super). Not worth it imho.

how much's the rx 6600? thats usually considered your only entry level option nowdays, im not sure how different prices are in bangaldesh maybe its vastly different its possible to find one in india for like 19-20k new, which is way better than the gtx 1660 super/ti variant
also im not sure how the used market but you could look into that too, has its own issues tho

for the used market looking into ebay alternatives could be helpful, the fb marketplace / olx n stuff is available here but unlike ebay theres no warranty provided by the platform so you gotta be a bit more careful
cards which have manufacture warranty time period remaining are your best bet, take any warranty provided by offline shops n such with a grain of salt unless they have a good local reputation it could more than likely mean absolutely nothing.
there are also cards which have been recently rma'd and if u "gamble it" with those they last a good while and should be fine as long as the seller is up for f2f and letting u do some gpu stress tests on their rig
