  1. 1. Hi! I'm looking for a laptop for studying computer science. I prefer a lightweight, portable model without a dedicated GPU, as I'll primarily be using it at university. My preferred order is this: overall performance > build quality > battery life > all I've identified four laptops that stand out within my budget. Assuming they are all on sale in my country and prices are all the same ,which one is the best choice?

    • Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 (14' ) with Ryzen 8840HS, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, 60 Hz WUXGA OLED Display

    • Huawei Matebook 14 with Ultra 7 155H, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, 120 Hz 2.8K OLED Display

    • ASUS Zenbook 14 with Ultra 7 155H, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, 60 Hz WUXGA OLED Display

I highly suggest prioritizing it differently:

battery life + the build quality + lightweight/small  >  display + keyboard  >  performance

For a student life you need portability and reliability.

For CS you will be reading and typing all the time.

Performance is not an issue in today's world unless you are using more than one Chrome tab, then you need more than 8GB of RAM lol (so yeah, 16GB is a minimum for comfort, in most cases I assume)

Depending on the budget/location I suggest looking into MacBook Air with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, etc) as they are unbeatable in portability and quality as far as I'm concerned.
