Is this splitter a viable solution to splitting?

A little 5 port network switch from a known brand shouldn't cost much more than one of these sketchy things. (And if it takes power, it's probably a switch too.)

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

If it works then it's a 3-port switch with a weird name since there's no other way to "split" gigabit Ethernet. Test it.

Theoretically if it’s a cheap rig it should be half the speeds? Half duplex right? If I recall correctly

IIRC you can do that with 100M but not gigabit. So either it's a gigabit switch (more likely since it's powered) or it's lying about being gigabit.

I’ll ask my boss if I can check 🤞🤞
