Headsets mic started picking up mouse and keyboard clicks

Cheersmate

My current headset is connected to my pc on its jack ports at the back ?{not sure what exactly they are called).I have had this headset for a while and ı have never had any complaints from my mates about background noise.Recently ı changed my mobo and ım wondering if this could be related to that or perhaps some setting on windows ?(ı also formatted).

Just to test it out ı bought a new headset and connected it to the usb port and ı can still hear the mouse clicks.

These arent exactly the best headsets on the market but they are fairly decent

If you're using Discord for voice chat, make sure you enable their "Krisp Noise Suppression". If it's still picking up unwanted noise, you can also configure the threshold/noise gate in which you have to be speaking a certain decibel level for it to actually "open the gate" and allow noise through.

Krisp is activated on Discord.I lowered the noise gate but it still picks up the mouse noises while ım talking

The easiest solution is to get a less clicky keyboard if you're using a mechanical keyboard with loud switches, and/or to stray away from condenser style microphones and to look into a dynamic microphone, however these require you to be talking very close to the microphone.

You said in your original post that you purchased a new headset to see if it fixes the issue, if you still have your previous headset can you try to test that again with the noise suppression/noise gate? If you are saying this was never an issue before, something else must have changed, whether it's software in Discord or some other variable... and you just need to figure out what DID in fact change so you can revert back to when it was working fine.

Incorrect, it all has to do with the pickup pattern. You can like get a condenser mic that only picks up towards the front end of the capsule, and it wouldn't pick up noises from the other opposite direction which would be your keyboard.

Care to provide an example of a condenser microphone that will be sufficient for this use-case? It's not that I don't believe you, I was just giving a broad example of an easy way to ensure no unnecessary noise is picked up.

There are various mics that are way better than dynamics regarding not picking up unwarranted noises, like shotgun capsule cardioids, some use them for broadcasting. Granted they're expensive, but you can get a shotgun for less too. This is the pickup pattern of a NTG8, for example:

Though what I'd recommend would be simply a handheld supercardioid or so, simply directed at your mouth. It would also soak up the noise pretty much only towards your lips.
