Help with choosing a gaming laptop 1000-1300 USD (ASUS TUF Gaming A15?)

Hello,

After a very long time of being restricted to playing exclusively indie games on my geriatric ThinkPad, I finally managed to save up enough money to buy a decent gaming laptop (I hope). After spending a few hours browsing some forums and guides, I ended up more confused then before I started and honestly have very little idea what to buy, so I decided to seek advice here.

The laptop would be used predominantly for gaming, anything from old indie games to more recent titles. I'm not too fussy about graphics but it would be nice to not have everything down on the lowest settings if at all possible. Other then that it would be used for regular computer stuff - browsing, video, the sorts.

My budget is ~1000-1300USD with slight wiggle room.

 

The laptop that I managed to pick out (tho I am in no way confident in the choice) is ASUS TUF Gaming A15 with 7735HS, RTX4060 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (100% would upgrade soon after purchase) for ~1,260.25USD ( https://www.x-kom.pl/p/1196640-laptop-15-16-asus-tuf-gaming-a15-r7-7735hs-16gb-512-rtx4060-144hz.html?sm=vv9BVlAa - website is in Polish so be warned).

Please advise where it's a good choice at this price (or in general).
