Weird damage to laptop screen

    Recently this weird damage randomly appeared on my laptop's screen, it looks like to layers of the screen have come separated (like when a screen protector doesn't fully apply to a phone screen). It's not on the screen itself but on the bezels around the screen, so right now its just annoying. But I am worried that if two layers are separating that it will spread. Applying pressure to it doesn't seem to change anything.

 

Is there any way to fix it? I really can't afford a screen replacement.

The laptop is an HP Envy x360 (with a touch screen).
