LGA 1155cpu cooler on AM4

i have an LGA 1155 cpu cooler, im just wondering if i will be able to use it on an AM4 socket?

or do i need to get a new cooler specifically for AM4

Depends of the cooler. Most coolers come with both Intel and AMD mounting kits. What cooler do ou have?

its the intel stock cooler that came with the cpu

Nope, that one you cannot use on the AM4 platform. What CPU are you planning on buying? Most AMD CPU's come with a stock heatsink aswell.

im buying a used cpu- ryzen 5 3600, 32GB Corsair vengance RGP Pro 3200mhz ram(4x8gb) and MSI X470 Gaming Plus MAX

all 3 of this. but the seller said no cooler

Oh ok I see. What is your budget for a cooler? AM4 stock coolers shouldnt be hard to find on the used market. Otherwise you can pick up something like a Thermalright Assasin for cheap.

im looking for something thats cheap, i dont have alot of budget

The peerless assasin is only $40, but should last you basically forever, unless you buy the 14900k, definitely worth the price

What is your budget? From what i can tell you can buy a hyper 212 for around R 700 on evetech (i dont know if they are a reputable seller tho), I cant recomend the cheaper stuff on their site because I am not familiar with the brands

i found a used AIO for R500 on bobshop (our version of Ebay)
i bought that, coz my case is AIO compatible and also gives a good cpu upgrade path if i need
