Yea most of that should be fine on these older cameras.

What do you mean by a extra display? Most of these support a video out, but on these older cameras its a bit limited. Also live view typically has much worse autofocus than if the viewfinder is used. Also a external display often turns off the internal screen.

budget is 150$ us and im willing to look used. i want to be able to have addons such as mics and stands and might use it for unboxing vids and car filming. what should i buy?

For that budget you really can't get much, and it likely would be worse than your phone in many ways. I'd stick with your phone for now.

What phone do you have currently?

For that budget there really aren't new cameras worth buying. You can get some used bottom tier camcorders that would fit in the budget, but there not great, and going to be fairly old too. You can't really get a used dlsr/mirror with decent video at that budget.

While not the best cameras, I don't think your beating it with $150 so I'd save up for a more expensive camera if it was me.

Like a old canon 5d if you are lucky for 200$ with some stuff on it? But well like the budget is just quite low really.

30d. I have one kicking around. No video or live view at all. Can be ok for photos today.

I'd skip the t3. 720p only(And I don't think it was that great for 720p either), no af during video. I'd rather use your phone.

D3000: No video recording.

Is there any thing specific you want for a photos camera?

Any of those will be 3 would be fine. I'd probably be tempted to go t3 if it was me. Af and low light isn't great on those older cameras, but if those are a big need image quality is generally fine, and you can put lenses you want on them.

Something like this:

A Bigger View? Is An External Monitor For You?

thats for the future though

I'd really suggest spending that money towards a better camera than a monitor here. Espically since olders dslrs are designed to have viewfinders used instead of screens for most uses.

Skip the DSLR, look for the Canon EOS M, it has a cult following as a cheap but rad poorman's cinema camera.

Oof, I see that the prices have jumped a lot... Honestly, at the price that used cameras are going for, just stick with your phone for now. Try to save up to the $250 mark.

While an external mic, SD card, and a stand/tripod are fine, I wouldn't spend too much on accessories if your camera budget is only $150.
