I wouldn't use that cooler on LGA 1700, unfortunately with that platform, aside from 12th Gen: you will have to go watercooling to be able to utilize the chip properly.

I want to buy an i3 12100 I guess this cooler is enough for it I just want to know does it fit or not

No you will need a new cooler as it's not compatible with LGA1700.

Lol it's a i3 12100 he's trying to cool. Not a i9-12900K.

That cooler will be fine than. Just ask the company for updated hardware brackets.

That wasn't mentioned in the original post. But okay brother.

But I already explained that. He edited his post afterward.

If you're using a 12100, the stock cooler should be fine.

There are a handful of LGA 1700 boards that do have LGA 1200 mounting holes, so if you get one of those this cooler might work, but without getting/making new mounting hardware it won't work on the 12100.

This is my cpu cooler can does it fit to a new 1700 lga motherboard?

It's an i3 12100

I was able to fit my Coolermaster Masterliquid V1 aio (or something like that), which is meant for lga 1200, on my lga 1700 CPU, also the 12100f with the default mounting kit. Im not sure how I did it. but I wouldn't guarantee that it would work with your CPU cooler too.

watercool a 12100f? 😂😂😂. Its not gonna explode! But I guess I'm doing it...

The 12100f by default comes with a stock cooler that is pretty capable and is designed for lga 1700. I would recommend you use that. Why don't you just get a CPU cooler that's meant for lga 1700? It would be less of a hastle.

It is an i3 and absolutely doesn't need water cooling.

Why would you even write that if you didn't know the CPU beforehand? That makes no sense, dude.

That's a cool CPU, just pick up a cheap air cooler.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
