Trucker looking for new laptop

Hey !! Hope you all doing well.

I’m a truck driver doing canada/USA i’m gone for the week basicly living in my rig.

 

I used to have a iPad air with a logitech keyboard/track pad basicly I mounted it to used it as a "laptop" but now long story short my wife is using it

 

I’m planning to use it to mainly watch movie/live television and some truckstop offer wifi so when i’ll be able maybe play some videogames like LoL,D2R, WoW 

 

I’m looking for some suggestion considering that i have a budget of 3000$CDN

 

currently I hesitate between:

MacBook the pro version for the "gpu" and the higher refresh but i know it cant run everygame like D2R isnt supported. Love the screen quality and also a nice fit with my iphone to sync messages

 

or

 

asus zephyrus g14 2024 with the 4060 at 2600$CDN at best buy

 

for now thats the two options I have in mind if you people have any suggestion i’m open! Thats probably 2 overkill machine for one i’m planning to use it for! Like i’m not even sure if I need a laptop with a dedicated GPU for the games listed above

but here is somethings i’d like the laptop to have:

 

OLED display 

14inch and above

atleast 120HZ 

doesnt matter for the battery since it can be plugged all the time

Descent speaker

Good wifi card

Whoa what the hell, the Canadian pricing for the Zephyrus G14 is insane. The 4060 model costs 1600 USD MSRP but your Canadian pricing suggests it’s 1920 USD. Also it’s been on sale several times since release- I got mine when Best Buy had it on sale for 1100 USD. I would definitely wait for a sale on it.

 

Aside from that, I would totally support you getting a MacBook Pro 14” or 16” because the M1 Pro 16” is my all-time favorite tech/gadget.

I would not bother getting the M3 or M3 Pro. As much as I love mine, paying full price is still a ton of money. Try to find a M1 Pro or M2 Pro somewhere if you’re a little patient. Soooo much cheaper for still amazing performance.

yeah canadian money not doing that great ahahaha when I'm in the states I make sure I have everything i need before crossing because a water bottle at 1-2$ USD is near 5 bucks for us
