Macbook pro 2017 in 2024

Go to solution Solved by anirudthelinuxwIzard,

if you already have one I would actually say it's usable as long as you have a quad core or more system for real work.

For 350 euros though you are buying something that will be usable for max 1-2 years more. Look for a used ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 or T14s Gen 1.

Hello,

so Ill be short

mac pro 2017 for around 350 eurs with new battery?

i dont have the budget buut maybe look for mac pro 2020? Its m1 chip too but price is around double without new battery.

pros for2017 model I would buy it at my work place so guarantee on repairs ect included but 2020 model just from a random person.

I'd avoid any Intel Macbook tbh.

Also, this one is just a dual core i7, with a really old battery.

FX6300 @ 4.2GHz | Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 | Hyper 212x | 3x 8GB + 1x 4GB @ 1600MHz | Gigabyte 2060 Super | Corsair CX650M | LG 43UK6520PSA
ASUS X550LN | i5 4210u | 12GB
Lenovo N23 Yoga

Its a dual core in 2024 also more specs are needed since well they vary a lot

Either way a dual core laptop is just pretty darn rough no matter what.

Id avoid intel macs as I expect apple to fizzle support out any time now that apple m chips are well established and all intel device stacks have been replaced.
