5700X3D users let's unite !

Few questions to users only:

1. PBO On/Off

2. Curve Optimizer

3. What's your experience ?

I dunno if that's something wrong with my sample, bcs when running CR23 getting 73C and all clocks 4.05ghz, with Arctic Freezer III 360, with max pump 2600-2800rpm

No matter what settings, if PBO off/on, Curve Optimizer or anything else, it's getting the same results 😅

It just limited to 4.05Ghz at Full load, and boosting 4.15Ghz one core with low load ?

With my 5800X3D I just run a -28 all core curve, and set my SOC voltage to match the IF/Mem clock.

My temps are pretty low though, pretty sure I am in the low 60s with R23 at 4450MHz.

with that cooler you should be getting a lot more power into the chip before you reach that kind of temps, recheck your cooler mounting

My 5800X3D settings:

PBO OFF

CO -22 for daily use (-30 for chasing overclocking scores)

TSME Disabled

Manual DRAM timings along with FCLK/UCLK/MCLK set to 1:1:1

Current Telemetry Offset -5A (helps to slightly increase power limit indirectly by making CPU do wrong power readings at the cost of higher temperature as more power is being used... does not affect in-game behaviour only max CPU load)

I re pasted with MX6 this time, and used less (I used a bit too much of SYY157 🙈), but after repasting and bios resetting, it just went down to 71.2C lol and still locked to 89watts this time.

Maybe my B550 Aorus Elite V2 AX WiFi has some issues? But my previous 5900X had max 189watts.

You have to go thin with SYY-157 or else it acts like an insulator.

I have a R7 5700X non 3D. When letting PBO do the overclocking it may not give much of a performance boost by default. Some tweaking is necessary to get the CPU to boost higher and get more performance. Going +200Mhz and negative CO helps a bit but not much unless you tune the power limits.

On the 5700X an up to 15% or more performance increase can be achieved using PBO depending on the application. Don't expect the same percentage gains from the 5700X3D, but take your time tuning and you'll have a little improvement.
