By modern standards?  Absolutely not. Its old and slow.

Its an almost 10 year old CPU and it was outdated when it launched.

No Problem.

It will be able to handle light games and older games like Half Life 2 etc.

But it will struggle a lot in modern games.

even ddr3 2600 wont save the thing and trinity imc is pretty shit compared to llano (3000+ on air) so thats not helping things on the igpu side

you can still build a decent setup for <100$ albiet mainly comprised of used hardware probably 115x or 1366 if you happen to get a good deal on one and definitely based on a polaris rx4/570 or 4/580

AMD's "construction equipment" processors ran hot and weren't competitive with contemporary Intel CPUs. Zen was a huge leap forward for them.

 

It's better than having no CPU at all, and would be fine in a mid-2000s to early 2010s retro machine, but it won't keep up in 2024.

Maybe in theory, but these FM2 chips perform terribly on modern windows for some reason, even worse than phenom II or core 2.

Even when that chip came out it was dubious
Its a 4 core steamroller (2 module for people who dont know what cores are and insist its not 4 core but 2)
 

They were solid budget chips in 2015 that would play anything before it came out at HD to FHD at solid frame rates. It would be hard to make a PC on intel that was faster then it in games when it came out for the same price... because on intel you had to buy some ewaste GPU to go with it.

They never did overal. There were quite a few regressions is where that story came out of. but overall bulldozer was still faster as an overall package. But it was more like how zen 5 isnt slower then zen 4 even though it regressed in SSE.
