Dual-boot Linux and Windows: paired bluetooth headset won't reconnect

Go to solution Solved by Eigenvektor,

Bluetooth devices negotiate a secret key when first paired. That key is only available to the currently running OS, so you'll need to repair it any time you switch between operating systems.

What you can do is this:

- Pair the headset in Windows

- Boot into Linux

- Access the Windows registry (file) from within Linux

- Extract the key

- Put it into the appropriate Linux config file

- The headset should now be paired with both operating systems

Let's see if I can find the instructions again that I used for mine…

~edit:

Hello,

I have a weird bluetooth headsets behavior:

  1. I pair it with my laptop and it works when i boot first time in windows (10) or linux (mint 22).
  2. If i do not boot in opposite system, on reboot connection still works.
  3. If I boot into opposite system, the paired headset won't reconnect anymore - connection established and when dropped a second later

Anyone had an experience with that?
