Power Supply for RX6800XT

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a RX 5700XT to an RX 6800XT but unsure if I need to upgrade the PSU, I have no plans to overclock. Some of the power supply calculator sites say I'll be alright but others (typically the ones selling PSUs) are telling me to upgrade. The only reason I'm avoiding upgrading the PSU is because I have done a sleeper build in an old case and the panel behind the motherboard can't be removed so managing cables is an utter pain as I have to snake them through tiny holes I have dremeled out.

My current specs are:

MSI PRO B650M-P
Ryzen 5 7600

RX 5700XT

1x 1TB NVME SSD
1x 240gb Sata SSD
1x 2TB HDD 7,200RPM
Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16gb DDR5

6x 120mm RGB case fans

1x  120mm RGB Tower Cooler fan
Phanteks PH-P550GF 550W 80 Plus Gold

RX 6800 XT has 20ms spikes of 579w where the 5700 XT has 20ms spikes of 266w. Depends on the reaction time of the protection features if the PSU keeps running or not. Known that your Phanteks is based on the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold that has issues with high powered GPUs it could be a problem. You can give it a try, the PSU shut down does not harm aanything. If it shuts down you know how to solve it > a new ATX3.x PSU.

How the shit does a 6800xt have spikes up to 579w!?
