Laptop Bag Dimensions

My work gives us these thinkpad t15 gen 2s, it's like the standard dev laptop.

I am going to lose my mind because I have been wanting a new laptop bag, and the idea that my laptop can't fit in this bag that I am so amped about because of a 6mm overage in length breaks my heart.

Ltt... Where the XL bag at that fits our big software devs laptops?

Anyone think it's worth attempting to make it work?

Completely different question but also about laptop bag dimensions, on the stream Luke showed that the laptop pocket itself has a full size and downsized sleeve, but the store page only lists one size? Can you please share the sizing of both the full and downsized sleeve for each bag size?

I currently have a work HP Elitebook 640 G9 (‎8.4 x 12.7 x 0.78 inches) which seems like it would fit very well into the Small, but if possible I'd prefer to order the Large and just use the downsized sleeve incase my next cycle laptop is bigger (or I need a personal or something). Would hate to end up with a laptop that doesn't fit but also don't want to go too oversize now if it would be a hazard

Yea exactly, I’ve been looking forward to getting this bag for over a year! But I’m looking to get a framework 16 and the fact my 7 year old bag will fit it, gpu bump and all is infuriating. The fact they didn’t extend it just a centimeter for the framework 16 without the gpu bump seems blind considering their audience.

Laptop bag XL for framework 16!! At least being able to fit it with just the blank module, but space in the other pockets for the gpu.

I have a Gen1 and it seems to also just barely be outside the max size range for the Large bag. Is it one of those things where you could squeeze it in and make it fit? Or is 6mm too much?

Yeah, I think Linus' reasoning was a little daft.

"I don't let my investment in Framework guide our design decisions" sounds good on paper... but you're not the only person buying Framework 16 laptops. Trying not to seem biased made it a worse product.

If their design intention of the LTT Backpack is "this backpack is for people who need to get shit done" then why didn't the Offsite Laptop Bag follow the same philosophy?

  • 2 weeks later...

Does anyone have an idea if headphones will fit in this bag (+laptop) without bulging it too much? Specifically BoseQC's?

Can't really see a pocket suitable for headphones, but maybe the front pouch could work if they are laid flat?

I have the small version of the bag. Putting any headphones inside of it is a no go. If you could get it to close at all, the pressure on them wouldn’t be good for it.
