I believe there is a setting in WoW to cap your framerate when the window is selected and when it is not selected.

Maybe that was enabled and adjusted, which causes this?

Hey all,

So World of Warcraft is lagging hard but only when that window is "Selected/Active", as soon as I click onto my desktop or anything else it goes back to normal.

  • I've restarted my PC,
  • I dropped the Graphics to the lowest,
  • Tried Windowed and Fullscreen,
  • Checked the Drivers are up to date
  • As far as I'm aware nothing has changed since yesterday when it wasn't doing it.

I've linked a video of the issue.

  • Ryzen 7 3700X
  • ROG B550-A
  • 32GB DDR4 Corsair
  • Gigabyte 3070TI

Thank you for any help you can give

Jack

Your CPU and GPU usage seems normal, not frequency dropping on the CPU?

Same issue in other (less crowded) zones?

Thank you, for some random reason it was set to 0. Lord knows why!
