A 7600x is easily cooled by air 馃檪 I cool my 7700x with 25% fanspeed on my NH-D15.聽 No noise.

I just don't know if a 240mm rad is worth it if I could use an air cooler. Any help?

Depends on your CPU.聽 Most dual tower air coolers will do same or better than a 240mm rad 馃檪

I would pick a dual tower air cooler of a 240mm AIO any day,聽 cheaper and way more reliable.

Is there much of an audio benifit either? A little sound sensitive and ny rig used (a rather crappy, mind you,) air cooler that was loud.

Just comes down to the case

Picking a case based on the cooling meathod I use. Was considering a DIYPC ARGB-Q3 V2 MicroATX, Zaleman P30 or SAMA AR01-RGB MicroATX

EDIT: sent early

Due to my autism I am also very sensitive to noise so I totally understand.

I usually run the fans on my dual tower air coolers at around 25-30% constant fan speed and this keeps them whisper quiet.

With an AIO you would probably run the fans at the same speed but you do have a pump thats making slight humm too.

I have never heard my NH-D14. NH-D15 or Peerless Assassin during normal gaming load.

If you are going with a smaller case then maybe an 240mm AIO would be better for space.

Considering a Peerlesss Assassin can keep a 7800X3D going full PBO-tilt聽 under 90掳C while being whisper-quiet, I reckon you can go with it or its Phantom Spirit little brother and be perfectly fine.

I've gotten to know some stuff, but am far from omniscient, so don't take my advice as gospel and wait for other opinions - I just like throwing in my two cents when I can.

If I cooled a 7900x whisper quiet with an air cooler, you can do the same with a 7600x.

I wouldn't say this contributes any to the discussion, mate. And it sounds a little condescending and hostile.

You don't list any dollar amounts so how can we tell you if it is "worth" it.

With that said, air coolers can compete with AIO's on value as they are generally cheaper (noctua aside)

I just meant in general. Any price point really. Not really caring for price as noise is of utmost importance to me.

I think you took that the聽completely聽wrong way and its directly related to the discussion, mate. Purely giving you reassurance that a 7600x can easily be cooled silently.聽

Anyway.. its also incredibly important that you tune the fan curves no matter the cooler end up with, water or air. No motherboard stock fan curves make any sense and are WAY too aggressive.聽

Then you should ask "Can a 240 aio cool my CPU" because worth denotes value of something. So the answer is yes. 240 aio's can cool a 7600x.

Unless @Aleph256 meant order of creation... 馃槈 lol

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 馃槈 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.馃お馃槀
