Do you think non-cloud console gaming will always exist?

Nat4Sail

Basically title. Curious to here y'alls thoughts on this. Will hardware console gaming always exist?

Since working at a desk the last few years, I've switched almost exclusively to using my Xbox on the couch. I just use my PC for games not available (or fun) on console, such as tft & civ

Yes, People like owning their games and since cloud servers and such can be shut down or other issues, it will always be better. Its just an option for now.

because large corporations are known for making what people want, not what is most profitable.

Using cloud gaming for anything other than casual slow paced games is usually unusable on standard internet speeds/ connections, a lot of people dont have wired internet connections to their consoles

cloud gaming was aspos to be the future of gaming...but no one has done it good enough yet... but xbox is on pc mostly and soon ps will to at some point. nintendo wanted to do away with physical but i guess it still sell atm so even thow some games are like 50% more...

the problem is nintedo dose not have much of there stuff on the cloud... like pokeymon for example.

laws might chatch up and stop all download of this stuff but who knows. till they find a way to mass charge people of things. atm it cost like $50,000 to go after one person. the music industry kinda can get you to pay a small fine and a slap on the wrist.

another problem is alot of games cant get re licenced out so only way to play them is on og hardware/ emulator witch is a gray area... so you still need both...
