Custom resolutions don't save Nvidia Control Panel

Hi, i wanted to change my monitor refresh rate from 260 to 280.

  • I created a custom resolution

  • i changed only the refresh rate and i clicked on "test"

  • then the screen blinked for a second then i get the pop up saying "Test successfully, the custom resolution has been applied, do you want to save it?"

  • I click on save but the custom resolution doesn't show up anywhere.

Is there any way to fix that?

Monitor: LG Ultragear 32GQ850-B, 31.5", QHD

Gpu: Rtx 4080 super connected to the monitor using Display Port

Thank you!

I also tried Custom resolution utility but it doesn't work. It won't even allow me to set my refresh rate to 240hz.image.png.2f23a645b627dfa730d6a98573892593.pngimage.png.84716826b251a453ad01966e5a0725ae.png

Gotta click the 'Enable resolutions not exposed by the display' box.

I already tried that. It doesn't make any difference.

Its been a while since I've had to use this feature, it was last something I used on a 2016 era Asus ROG 17.3" laptop who came with a 1080p 75Hz G-sync display. I overclocked that display to 100Hz.

Once you actually create a custom profile, it should show up in the menu before that as a resolution option at the top or just add in the custom refresh rate option to your 1440p profile available there.

Had to reconfigure things to test it, but this is what I did to get it working with my currently available hardware. I only changed the refresh rate option. Created a profile where I changed it from 60Hz to 42Hz and another to 45Hz.
