Looking for an alternative similar keyboard.

I have the SteelSeries Apex 350. I daily drive it. I chose this keyboard because of a specific and at-the-time popular feature, macro keys. In fact, this has 22 additional macro keys, a double row to the left and an additional row above the F key row. I know this is a membrane and not mechanical, but it is what it is.

I have been looking for an alternative newer keyboard to purchase but it seems this style of keyboard is no longer popular with keyboard manufacturers unless I find some cheap off brand. Anyone know of a decent one still made today? The reason for buying it is not because I need it as I have two already for my two rigs, I need to find one for a friend that would like one as well.

I will pass these on, the corsair one will likely be what he buys.

Yeah that was my alternative originally when buying the one I have now, good keyboard.

Do you need that many macro keys though? I would personally probably not be able to remember all of them for each usage purpose if I bind out fully.

You could actually get a board with less macro keys. Actually, you can alternatively re-map the keys you don't use on a regular board for macro.
