Macrium Reflect Error 23 - Crystal Disk Info and HD Sentinel say no bad sectors

Hey Everyone,

 

Have a weird one. Trying to mirror an old HDD to an SSD using macrium reflect and coming up with errors on one of the 4 machines. I get error 0 or sometimes error 9, followed by error 23 in the main C partition. Everything I can find says this to due to bad sectors, but both crystal disk info and hd sentinel give me 100% disk health with 0 smart errors. chkdsk /r doesnt fix the issue (ive run it 3 times). Any idea what may be going on? Ive used the exact same process on 3 other identical machines with no issues.

Try running chkdsk drive_letter: /f /x /r and then retry.

 

Also, get the free HD Tune version and let it run through the bad block scan, but not the fast version.

chkdsk did nothing and the neither crystal disk info of hd sentinal found any bad sectors with their scans. Does HD tune look for something different than those two?

HD Tune does not look at SMART, it goes sector by sector and checks it. Green OK, yellow slow, red BAD.

If you are running Windows Security turn off Ransomware protection. Also turn off Tamper protection before trying to clone the disk.
