V-moda crossfade wireless 2 battery discharge.

I recently replaced the battery in my v-moda crossfade wireless, after the battery stopped working

It charges to 100% and the moment i turn it on it discharges to 80% and then keeps rapid discharging at a rate of 10%.

It does stay on 20% for the longest time , battery % does not change when on  20% for atleast 2 hours.

I have nothing to measure voltages etc... 

Contacted v-moda with no luck , no support on how to fix it.

Is there something obvious i should look for or will i need to buy a multimeter to find the problem ?
