Can I change the colour of the keycaps with aftermarket ones on the N80 or S98?

To summarise. Yes. The S98 can take any full size MX style keycaps which are pretty common, the N80 will need low profile MX style keycaps which might not be quite as common but should still be widely available.

To go into more detail.

The S98 and pretty much any other non low profile keyboard they sell is fairly standard with 5 pin MX style switches and keycaps meanin they'll be compatible with most of everything you'll find out there.

For the low profile keyboard, the N80, it uses low profile switches which aren't inter compatible with full size switches, and similarly you'll need low profile keycaps as well, even though full size keycaps migh fit, they might not work well on low profile switches. This is fairly typical for low profile keyboards, so it shouldn't be too hard to find low profile switches or keycaps, but it's worth noting they are different from full size switches and keycaps which are more common, it's also worth noting that low profile keyboards do have less travel, meaning it's a shorter distance to press to actuate the switch and reach the bottom of the keystroke, some people like that, some people don't.

Hi everyone!!

I would like to ask for some help on buying a new keyboard and mouse because I really don't know anything!

Keyboard:

I am going for an all white setup so I need a white keyboard! I saw Sarah's Keyboard from the extreme upgrade and I really like it but I am in Australia and that keyboard alone is nearly 500 dollars, Can anyone please recommend  something similar that is wireless? If possible, the same size as Sarahs. Thanks!

Mouse:

I need a wireless gaming mouse that has some extra buttons on it, I am very inexperienced with peripherals, I don't mind if I need to change batteries or plug it in when its low battery! I need some help deciding and all help is very very much appreciated!

Thank you guys for reading and helping, It means a lot to me! 🙂

If you want something budget oriented for a mechanical keyboard, I'd recommend Royal Kludge. They have various sizes of keyboards with various colours as well. Closest thing I could find was the N80, form factor and feature wise, it's about 155 AUD, it is low profile and comes in 2 colour schemes. If you want something larger there is the S98, wich is pretty much full size at the same price but more colourways.

If you want something even cheaper I'd recommend the RK84, well featured, solid keyboard that I've been personally using for about a year. I've ended swapping the original switches for some Gateron Milky Yellow linear switches I bought of aliexpress and it's been great ever since, but even without it's still a solid board for the price.

Can you be more specific about this?

I still meet the occasional normal person that gets surprised and delighted when they use a mouse that has forward and back buttons.

Are forward and back buttons considered "extra" to you, or are those standard to you?

Do you want extra buttons for DPI adjustment and other potential macros?
