Best ~$100 over ear head phones with detachable cable

My 7 year old MPows just died, I would like to just ask for advice on what y'all think are decent for this price, Im sorry if you get this question a lot or if this a stupid question I'm just not that good with audio stuff, also idc if it has a mic, just want to know what has good audio and comfortably.

You need an amp to drive those properly.

No, an AMP is not a must have, especially for the 560S, they are extremely sensitive. The impedance isn't the only measure to determine the need for an AMP.

I have them. They sound much better with the amp. The nth100 and the 599 sound the same on the amp as on my phone or apple dongle

I have them to. They sound good on everything I've tried, and it's true they sound the best in my amp&dac using a 4.4 balanced cable. The OP can get them and then have a great upgrade path.

If you can increase your budget to $150usd I'd highly recommend the Rode NTH-100 because they sound amazing on about anything and don't require an amp.

 

Are you using onboard audio? If so what motherboard?

 

The $100 price point is a tough nut to crack, the $150 price point opens up a LOT of options.

 

For $120usd you can get the Phillips Fidelio X3 a great open back headphone with a wide sound stage and a warmer sound signature.  Very very comfortable with an auto adjusting headband.  My uncle picked them out of several headphones based purely on comfort.

 

For closed back I can recommend the AKG K361 but it really wants pads to live up to it's true potential at which point you can get the NTH-100 for about the same price.

 

Everything I listed I currently own and love, also it's all very easy to drive.
