My RAM and VRAM are piling up.

My RAM and VRAM keep piling up, and I don't know why. While I'm using my PC during the day, playing games or consuming content (mostly playing games), the RAM and VRAM keep piling up little by little, to the point where I have two or three applications open, and my RAM usage is 12 - 14GB out of 16GB, also of the VRAM, 8 - 10GB out of 12GB, just being on the desktop or in chrome, not even playing games.
I've already tried to clear the cache from the AMD software and it doesn't do anything, the only solution is to restart the PC, this didn't happen before, it could be the GPU drivers (Adrenalin 24.7.1), but I tried with older ones and the same thing happened. I realized this when I opened Wallpaper Engine, and it told me that the video memory was insufficient, and I didn't have anything open.

My PC specifications:

-Ryzen 5 5600.

-Radeon RX 6700 XT.
-16gb RAM Corsair Vengance RS 3600MHZ

-Gigabyte M550M DS3H rev 1.2

-SSD 480Gb Western Digital Green WD NVME SN350 2400Mb/s

Yes sounds like you have some malicious stuff running in the background maybe, possibly mining or something. You'll need to reinstall windows. I would also flash a new bios to the board.

Check BIOS version. and take note of what version you got.

Make a windows install media on a USB drive. Using the media creation tool from microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11½

Make a killdisk on another USB and nuke all drives. https://www.killdisk.com/eraser.html

You can use ventoy if you only have one USB stick

Shut down PC. Remove ram and GPU. Clear CMOS.

insert ram and GPU again - install windows 11

After reinstall go to https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550M-DS3H-rev-10-11-12-13/support#support-dl-bios

Download BIOS version F14 or higher and flash bios. If you want the newest bios versions, then make sure to flash F17 first, in order to update AGESA.

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT with custom 3D printed AIO mount, X62 | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15

Okay, it seems that it was not something superficial. Is there a way that i can check if is something going on? Like checking the task manager or run the antivirus? If someone is mining from my PC, shouldn't they be using both GPU and CPU? Because when RAM and VRAM are high, neither CPU nor GPU are being used.

I already have F17 bios version, if that helps in case there is something else going on.

Thank you
