Need a new laptop - AMD or Intel?

Hoping y’all can give me some thoughts…
Need a new laptop, primarily for work – no gaming. Max $1,200 USD budget

Preferred but not essential:
DisplayPort for a one cable providing both power/display for portable monitor connection, but also standard HDMI for home office.
15 to 16 inch display. I'd rather go larger than 16" versus smaller than 15", but 15.6" seems to be just about right.

Better than standard HD resolution (but not less than).

300+ nits

Numbered keyboard

Fingerprint ID

Must have:

32+ GB RAM – will have dozens of browser tabs and several applications open simultaneously for long periods of time.

Long battery life (6+hours?).

Runs 'cool' - will be on my lap 25% of the time - tired of high heat on my legs and fan constantly ramping up

Backlit keyboard but not RGB or at least option to be white if it is RGB

1TB storage

Windows (Home or Pro)

Don't need:

RGB anything

Touchscreen

This laptop seems to tick all of the boxes, but had a bad experience with Dell in the past. I'm also not sure I want to go Intel this time considering the issues they've been having. I'm definitely open to AMD (which might run cooler and use less battery anyway?).

Amazon.com: Dell Latitude 5520 5000 Business Laptop (15.6" FHD Anti-Glare, Intel Core i7-1185G7 vPro, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD), Fingerprint, Backlit, IR Webcam, NFC, Thunderbolt 4, IST SD Card, Win 11 Pro, Gray : Electronics

Speaking of AMD, another one that ticks most boxes

Amazon.com: HP ProBook 455 G10 Business Laptop (15.6" FHD Display, AMD Ryzen 5 7530U, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, (Beats i7-1255U)) Backlit, Fingerprint, Webcam, Ethernet, Wolf Pro Security, Win 11 Pro, Silver, 2024 : Electronics

Thanks for the help

It'd probably help if you said what kind of work you do. Excel spreadsheets are a lot different than video editing.

Honestly I’d get a Macbook Air if you really want battery life and strong work use

Looked at those, but their screen size is small and their cost is not. I also don't want to have to learn a new OS, which is why Windows is in my must have's

No imaging or video editing.. office work, but a lot at the same time.

Fair enough, even I prefer Windows and I use the entire Apple ecosystem minus the Vision Pro lmao. Just get any Windows laptop with a big enough battery (bare minimum 50 watt hours, for a 15 inch, I’d prefer almost 100) + and a CPU with at least 6 cores from the last 2-3 years.
