MacBook pro 2011 late 2.2GHz question.

Hello forum, if possible I need your help to dicide what should I do about an, old macbook pro I have that the main board is dead. So I would like to ask is it possible to, replace the original mainboard: Apple MacBook Pro 15" A1286 i7 2.2GHz Logic Board 820-2915-A 820-2915-B 2011 with Apple Macbook pro Unibody 15" A1286 2011 i7-2820QM 2.3GHz Logic Board 820-2915-A? Thank you!!

is it possible? Probably. Is it worth it? Probably not as a 13 year old mobo on ebay or another part of the laptop is not going to be simple and easy, and the cost of it may  make it also not really worth it for you. 

 

From a quick search its gonna be 90-250$ depending on the condition of the board.

Hello thank you, yes it will cost but (I suppose I can efford, to spent that much money) surely not worth the time but its what I have decide to do, and I would like help with that, are you certain 100% that this will work?

a 1:1 board swap for same year/model shouldn't give you any issue, in fact that's the normal repair route for many failures on the board that Apple would take.

 

pretty sure you can even use any of the variant models as long as it's for the same year.
