duelkage

Hi Guys need some help …. Have a Mecer laptop after the windows was updated there isn’t any sound drivers …. Drivers from the official website don’t work … many years ago I found a driver that works but I can’t remember from which site I got it … does anyone know if there is an alternative driver for this particular model

Have you tried going to device manager and uninstalling the current driver? Right click, uninstall, mark delete driver. Restart?

If it dosen't work, maybe try the driver for Z140C-edu:

http://downloadcenter.mustek.co.za/Notebook/

The driver folder for that one is rather funny, but different from Z140C, this is the folder you are looking for. Run the exe inside:

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT with custom 3D printed AIO mount, X62 | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15

Not endorsing them by any means, but if you have a Realtek chip (which it looks like you do). You could try these generic Realtek drivers from Github: Releases · pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic (github.com)

I would scan anything you download there thoroughly with AV software etc.

I tried this and nothing …. It’s not even letting me run the exe …. Think it has a issue other than the missing driver… really appreciate your response

What Windows update/upgrade did you do? How old is the laptop?
I'm asking because I'm wondering if the laptop is so old no 64-bit drivers were written for it, and you upgraded to a 64-bit version of Windows.
Would be a very niche situation, so I doubt this is it, but if it was, I'd hate to be troubleshooting it only to discover that haha.
