It's the Gigabyte Gaming OC Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB so it has the 2 8 pin connectors

Then you can't use the 12 pin, use the standard dual 8 pin.

I'm a little confused about which cable extensions I need, the related parts I'm planning on getting are;
PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-750 V3 ATX 3.0
GPU: RX 7800 XT
MOBO: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2

What cable extension set would I need for it to work properly?

If you're getting extensions, any. Extensions go between the power supply cables and the components.

Replacement cables, you'd need ones specific for your power supply. They'd go from power supply to components and replace the cables that came from the factory. Products – CableMod Global Store

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

ah ok, so you plug the cables that would go into the GPU and MOBO and then plug the new ends into the GPU and MOBO?

Yes, the connectors on the component side of the power cables is standard.

The connectors on the power supply it's self aren't.

The only dangers of extension cables would be getting cheap ones.

Something like that is fine to use. They're pinned the same way as the components on both sides. You can't plug them into your power supply. You'll have extra cables to hide, but you don't have to try to find cables specifically for your power supply.

Cable extensions are just 1:1 male to female cables, so they're independent of any particular PSU.

Replacement cables are a whole different story and are generally not worth it outside of VERY obvious full model number matching to what they're advertised for. Using the wrong cables can damage/destroy components.

I've read that recently one or two AMD cards have started to use them, but there is a strong chance that your card is NOT one of them. What card to you have specifically?
