I'd stick with 11 as your basically gonna be forced to use it pretty soon, so why go back to 10 when your gonna have to go with 11 pretty soon anyways if you want to use windows with current programs and websites.

Restore backups? Does it still have the windows.old files on your C:\ drive?

There a Microsoft community post that has a lot of detail - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/downgrade-from-windows-11-to-windows-10/84a2416d-ccfb-4d87-9eee-e1056591e91f

there's another year on windows 10, so feel free to use it. You don't need to be on windows 11. But whether you like it or not windows 11 is coming!

Edit* - having a scan i think that article is if you've upgraded. If you had a clean install of windows 11, i'd not bother downgrading. Otherwise the easiest thing to do will be a re-image onto windows 10.

you're not gonna downgrade with any certainty of reliability without a full reinstall.

and for what purpose? a year of having a slightly less "irritating" operating system?

perhaps use your energy to tweak win11 to your liking. there's a surprising number of options available.

What are you going to do in a year or so when Windows 10 support is discontinued? Yeah you can pay for updates, but that's going to be expensive.

I mean Linux is an option but how well it will work depends on you. There is still a bit of a learning curve. Thought according to my best friend it was pretty plug and play when he setup Linux on his gaming machine.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

After October 2025 10 will no longer get updated, at least if you dont pay Microsoft for updates and then it's only going to be another 3 years worth.
