Fixing a Stripped Screw

Hi all!

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad P16 Gen 1 Laptop and my brother was messing with my laptop with a screwdriver and stripped one of the screws I am unable to remove the screw. Could you give me some ways to get the screw out? Attached is a photo of the screw's current condition. I did try to use a flathead and a similar size philps head but it didn't seem to work.

that screw isn't stripped you're using the wrong size phillips. try a bigger/smaller sized phillips and it should still grab correctly. or just buy an easy out

Stop by your local hardware store or the auto parts store and get yourself of EzyOut screw/bolt removers.  They come in a set of usually either 4 or 6 bits.  They are extremely useful and really something that just about everyone that has a set of screwdrivers should have in their toolbox.  Just follow the instructions on the box about how to use them.

Take care and good luck.
