The case of the 6 color speed cube

Name of Brand:

D-brand

Description of your issue:

I have the desire for a 6 color D-brand speed cube (rubric cube).

Have you tried solving your issue through the brand's customer support channel? If so, what was the result?

I asked. Their response was golden. Buy six then mix and match the sticker sets.

What would an ideal resolution of your issue look like?

This is why I'm here. I don't know what the ideal resolution is.

The whole idea is to support the brands that support what you love. But what do you do when the brand trolls you?

I'm about ready to drop the $200 on 6 cubes, but genuinely don't know what to do with the other 5 cubes, and don't know what the appropriate level of retaliation is for this whimsical slight.

Advice?

(please remember this is all in the name of good fun)

@Gas Racing Do you have a complaint to note? if so, please edit your post to reflect the issue you would like resolved.

If not, and it sounds like you are wanting D-brand to accept a feedback suggestion, this not what the subsection is for. This is for issues or complaints about sponsor products that are not being resolved by said sponsor.

Retaliation is not the answer. D-Brand has always been a satire type of company.

Companies don't always cater to the suggestions they receive, and a resolution that they suggested would be acceptable, granted you didn't show/provide their response, provided they don't have the option available to provide, and the possibility is they may or may not make the option available depending on what their plan for the product is.

Too bad they don't actually just sell stickers. No more cubesmith to purchase twisty puzzle stickers from is a major bummer

Edit: IIRC cubesmith even got a shout out in an LTT video years ago. It was one of how to not void a warranty & they used the plastic razor blades sold on the website for removing warranty stickers

If only they offered a set of stickers that came in 6 or more colors already.

Look more into what you're buying before you buy it.

I was expecting more comical answers...

To avoid misunderstanding, I'm not mad and thought it was hilarious. Retaliation was the wrong word, proper way to retort is more appropriate.

I didn't even notice the 6 color pastel cube when looking at color options, lol. I was overly fixated on the "cool looking" topographic and marbled colorways... they also have leather, carbon fibre, and xrays. Cool.

The pastel cube is the logical solution, but this issue wasn't born of logic.

Unless you make it very clear, we can't know whether you are serious or not. Which is why every post made to certain subforums, such as LMG Sponsor Complaints, are considered to be serious, not memmeing. For majority of our subforums, serious discussion is what people expect, unless its made clear from start that its not the intention.

Understood. My bad.

Recommend reading for other comedic writers; the Onions "Amicus Brief" to the US Supreme Court. It's really entertaining and also informative. The moral of the brief is that writing satire isn't easy, and the repercussions of people not getting the joke can be significant.

For more context, the service rep has identified themselves as A Robot from the year 4024 who has traveled back in time to provide me with customer support. I'm just praying it doesn't tell me the future of humanity is dependent on me sticker bombing my PC.

What did the troll say to the second troll when crossing its bridge?

(rhetorical questions deserve radical answers)
