Need suggestions for new bluetooth adapter for my computer.

I am trying to get a new Bluetooth adapter since, for some reason, my controllers don't connect well anymore, even after restarts and reinstalls. What might be the best option for a Bluetooth connection?  I previously had a Techkey Bluetooth USB that I had purchased 4 years ago, but I was hoping to get something that would be more reliable and not have as much jank-looking software to download. I was also curious about whether it should get a PCI card adapter or a USB adapter. Using fewer USBs would be nice, but would it be worth a possible increase in cost? Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Current motherboard:

Asrock B550M Pro 4

1 PCIe 4.0 x16 - Zotac 3060ti

- 1 PCIe 3.0 x16 - empty

- 1 PCIe 3.0 x1 - empty

- M.2 wifi card - empty (suggestions for this is also appreciated)

Old Bluetooth USB:

EDIT: I am now looking for a decent M.2 Card key E card for both WIFI and Bluetooth, but I do not know much about the difference in quality between different cards. I have read some reviews on some cards, and I am uncertain about which card and antennas to trust for range and quality. I was looking at one like this and others at the top of Amazon, but many people have had issues with connectivity, the longevity of the product, and misinformation.

get a M.2 Wifi + Bluetooth card, it'll be better than pretty much any USB dongle on the market

Or a 1x PCIE Card of that variety (~30 bucks)

Would Something like this be recommended, or do you have a specific one in mind?

I need a new Bluetooth/wifi adapter for my PC. What would be the best M.2 card I could get? When looking at reviews for some, I often find that people have issues with build quality or range. Could anyone help me find one that has good Wi-Fi and Bluetooth range?

I've been using this for a while... no issues whatsoever, even with DS3 controllers...

While those items can work, I further refined my desired item to be an M.2 Key E BT/Wi-Fi card. While PCI expansion cards can solve the main issue of my lack of Bluetooth, I would prefer to expand via an area that is already designated for Wi-Fi on my motherboard. That way, I could level those PCI lanes free in case I want to upgrade to a wider GPU or add other types of expansion cards in the future.
