im planning to do some monitor fixing, i have 2 BenQ XL2720Z 27 inch 144 Hz e-Sports Gaming Monitor, 1 of which 50% of the backlight has failed and 1 BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710S Gaming Monitor 27 inch, IPS, 165 Hz, which has a micro nic in the screen. i want to replace the screen with the micro nic but am unsure if i will be able to get the same fps as before.

is the lcd panel the item that sets the fps or is it the motherboards inside?

The entire display works together, there is not a single component that does so. If this replacement panel is the same from the og monitor then u should be fine.

Both, the chips need to be able to transfer the data to the panel,

and the panel needs to be able to display the data at that amount of Hz
