Yes

Actually I am getting 5 year warranty in this and the local brands which are available in India are giving me only one year warranty.

And if I go for any other known brand they are very expensive so should I go for it or not?

I personally would not touch that said unit with a 10 feet pole. When that thing explodes, it will not only destroy itself but also your components (which are not covered under the PSUs warranty) and the manufacturer of your other damaged components will have an easy time denying you warranty because you used a known shit PSU.

No.  Please don't.  5 year warranty wont matter when your house burns down.

Get the more expensive PSU, be safe.

There is possiblity that they have fixed the issue on newer release, but there is also the possiblity that the problem is still there.

And not to mention you have to really really make sure that the one you get is a recent release (if the problem really has been fixed that is).

Dunno about india, but here in my country (non 1st world), there is still OLD units sitting around in some stores warehouse somewhere, and there is some stores that bulk buy the unsold old stock from other country because it was offered to them very cheap then they try to flip it either selling it 1 by 1 or putting them in prebuilts.

IMHO, I agree with @Levent and @Hinjima, don't risk it, really.

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post
