Cities Skylines 2 regularly crashes to black screen. Only fix is reboot...

Screen just turns black. Nothing works till i press the restart button on case.

 

Dunno what happens. I dont even use the GPU overclock.

 

Specs: 5600x 32gb ddr4. rtx 3070

That means your GPU crashed couldn't hold on too long apparently.

 

Same symptoms as my age old gpu.

 

Check the temps and see if it overheats otherwise reduce settings on the game that's less load to gpu and probably will run longer.

 

If it's just single game i geuss.

only happens with cities 2 though. never with anything else. even in long blender renders

Doesn't necessarily, some games are just crash prone, memory leak or whatever "indie" stuff aka bad optimization. 

 

good point about temps tho.

check temps while playing this and other games? also memory / vram usage with msi afterburner overlay.
