New Windows 11 install will not detect Pixel 7 Pro when plugged in over USB.

Hi all, I recently got a new SSD and I'm on a clean Windows install. When I plug in my Pixel 7 Pro over USB windows does not detect it, not in File Explorer, not in control panel, not in the device manager. I know it is not my phone or the cable since they both work when plugged into a different computer and on my previous Windows install. Here are some of the things I have tried:

Restarting both my phone and PC

Setting my phone's default USB mode to file transfer

Turning on USB debugging

Setting my phone's default USB mode to file transfer

Uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers in device manager

Setting my phone's default USB mode to file transfer

Changing the power management settings of USB ports in device manager

Uninstalling and reinstalling Windows 11's Media Feature Pack

Updating Windows

Downloading Google's USB drivers, which I can't install since the phone is not in device manager

Downloading and installing the Android platform tools

Running the net localgroup Administrators local service /add command in command prompt

I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Have you tried multiple USB-Ports and do other devices work when plugged into that port ?

Have you tried any other USB Storage devices ? I'm guessing you must've to install windows.

This user had the same issue. They give a relatively good explanation

https://xdaforums.com/t/pixel-7-pro-usb-connection-to-ms-windows-file-explorer.4509911/page-2#post-87636139

Seems to be an issue with the 2012 usb drivers. Completely uninstalling and deleting this driver for your phone, reverting to the old 2006 driver seems to fix it.

This person also seems to have done the same thing

Seems like they went in control panel. Windows 11 makes it hard to get there these days.

If you don't find your device in the Windows 11 Settings\Bluetooth and devices...  in that same page, click on the "View more devices" option. Then scroll all the way to the bottom until you see "more devices and printer settings" to reach the old Device and printer page.
