Please check my parts list :)

Go to solution Solved by venomtail,

Last gen AM4, EoL. Sure you can't do new gen AM5? Way better future upgradability option as far as 2028 in theory and future upgradability is a place where significant savings can be made in the future. 800eur cap. Sure it's all good, well done.

Budget (including currency): 800 Euros

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, light CAD, office work

Hey Guys,

I just got a new WQHD ultrawide monitor and realized I might need a PC that is up to snuff. I do not play the most demanding games, BG3 is probably the most challenging. I have already compiled a parts list and would be very thankful if you could give it a quick glance to check if everything will work out and I am not overpaying for anything. Thank you in advance!

Home much more would going with AM5 run me approximately? Would you just change the CPU and Mobo?

I'm not super firm on my budget and future proofing seems like a very good idea.

Use the quote feature or @venomtail me so I know you're replied.

100eur more, I think it's well worth it in the long run, as RAM and Motherboard I've selected can handle something like a 7800X3D, right now the best gaming CPU when you upgrade in the future. Not only that but will likely be compatible with future better CPU's:

Is it necessary to get a CPU cooler? Isn't there usually a decent enough cooler included with the processor?

@Carlix 😉

Not with this stripped 7500F. Price lower due to no intergrated GPU and no cooler along with it. If you remove cooler from PCPP, you'll see the warning for yourself.
