Overclocking my AMD GPU by undervolting?

Go to solution Solved by PDifolco,

It's absurdly low, it may be stable in some cases/games then crash on others, test it with a variety of games, benchmarks tend to be more accomodating

I'm overclocking my 7700xt, and I've been lowering the voltage. My cards performance keeps getting better, and its running at 3200mhz now at a voltage of 700mV from the original 1150 mV. I've never overclocked an AMD card before so I dont really know what Im looking for. It seems like theres no way it could reach that low a voltage but I've left it for 30 minutes now and It hasnt crashed and it looks visually good. Its only pulling 250W. It started running the benchmark at 44fps and now its 60fps.

Is this normal? Thanks

Yeah I think the benchmarking software I was using just wasnt very good. I was using msi kombustor. On time spy I found I could get it to about 1000 mV before it started getting unstable. I got this card a few days ago and the 7800xt just went on sale for like £70 off so I decided to return the 7700xt and get the 7800xt anyway. Ill try overclocking that once I get it
