should i get an asus rog strix b550-f gaming wifi II or an msi mag b650 tomahawk wifi for my setup (my cpu is a ryzen 7 7800x3d)

The B550 board will not work with a 7800x3D. That's an AM4 motherboard, you need AM5. The B650 Tomahawk is fine, but have you watched this? The best options organized by price bracket. The bracket that Tomahawk falls into has the B650 Steel Legend as the top pick.

B550 is wrong chipset, incompatible

As above and also unless you have a 4090 and play at 1080p with dlss I doubt it will make a noticeable difference that’s worth the money
