Most decisions in this system are just weird.

  • The CPU cooler is very expensive for what it is (it's outperformed by coolers half its price), and given you have a 7800X3D you don't even need a big AIO like this.
  • The thermal paste doesn't make sense, any cooler you buy will include some good enough thermal paste. No reason to spend the extra $15 on Hydronaut
  • The motherboard is OK, but there's likely a cheaper option that will be plenty fine. Do you really need an X670E board?
  • The RAM is double the price of similarly performing kits.
  • The storage config is just weird, are you reusing old drives?
  • The GPU is alright I guess, but you can get similar cards from other manufacturers for less money and no less performance (PNY for instance).
  • The case and PSU are alright, you can probably save a few dollars changing them each out for alternatives but it's OK.
  • Don't pay full price for a Windows key, there are key resellers who will sell you one for ~$20.
  • The peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headset) seem rather expensive for what they are, but I'm not one who particularly cares about peripherals so listen to someone who knows more than me in that area.

This is a system that with all those peripherals you should be paying closer to $3000 for than $4000 and losing no performance.

Or just deal with the watermark for free

You could very well change the AIO to something like a Thermalright FC140 and still get comparable temps though

Couple quick things, since this can be even beter. The Liquid Freezer III is even better and still cheaper than that CM AIO, I'd swap the board for the B650-P Wifi if you're going to step it down (saves another $30 without loosing much), and go for a 6000 CL30 RAM kit since 7200 does not work well on AM5. Plus the PSU OP put in was cheaper and pretty good (the be quiet! Pure Power 12 M is even cheaper though and still really good, so that would be my pick). I'd also ditch the 990 Pro since it's unlikely to actually be noticeably better.

It's still over the original budget, but it's at least closer if you wanna go up to a 4090.

didn't realise that the priced changed, a couple weeks ago it was sitting at 90 bucks at cooler masters website

I forgot this wasn't an intel build

Thanks for the corrections

Taken @RONOTHAN##'s suggested build and budgetified it a good bit more without compromising on performance
