okay i have a unique needs set up as a VTuber with small amount working space. AKA i have no Physical Desk. so im dual purpose my LG 75 inch 4k HDR10+ TV as a master display with a displayport to HDMI 2.1 cable. also have a secondary 2007 Nvidia 3d Vision Bundle Samsung 22 inch 16x10 1050p Monitor to run my Streamlabs Software on to monitor as gaming. other VTuber software i need to run is VTube Studio and VBridger.

The problem im having is bottlenecking making my VTuber model or even the games Lag or Freeze. already tried with single monitor and wasn't helping.  thinking i'm Running out of GPU Head Room pushing a 4K TV setup as main display. but also have considered a 1 generation upgrade on CPU to add a second NVME SSD. but again my question is in my case scenario would the extra 4GB of VRam on a 16GB 4070 TI Super be beneficial over the 12GB 4070 TI???

i compiled a configuration of my current setup on PCPartPicker for Reference Below:

The GPU upgrade would help for sure, but there comes a balance limit between the GPU and the CPU. The extra 4 GB does help, but it always comes down to the cost. How much are you looking to spend and go from there 🙂

That cpu is going to hold you back by a bit Id say maybe consider a 10850k used for like 220ish bucks,

Then on the other hand you can get a 12700k and mobo+ram for around 400$ and that would help, then get a 4060 16gb and go from there.

A few different options. You can also try the 16GB 4070ti super, and then when you upgrade the rest of the components down the line you can still keep using it. But that 10400f is being asked to do quite a lot.

Id say in this case yes, however I would look at the 7900gre too. It also dependso  how (un)optimized your vtuber model is.

But also another glaring issue in your system is 16gb of ram. Like for a vtubestreaming setup that is NOT enough at all. Wouldnt be surprised thats the real issue here or well another big cause od it

I see you have a 10400F and 6600XT

What is CPU, GPU, RAM and VRAM usage with just your VTuber model (no game) running on just the 1050p monitor?

Does it lag or freeze in such circumstance?

You should identify what is the bottleneck (and if there one is to begin with) before expecting a new card to fix the lag/freezing issue.

In the long term, you should be targeting to have a split PC setup where the more powerful PC runs the games and sends output to a capture card. And then have the weaker PC encode the video, host the VTuber model, non-gaming content, and host your streams.

This way the Vtuber model will not have to contend with resource intensive games. They are eventually going to be resource intensive because your gaming display is a 4K TV
