59.94i is the old "drop frame" broadcast standard for 60hz TV. (Those missing .06 frames were sacrificed as part of retrofitting color into NTSC.) One may be progressive and the other may be interlaced, but they're basically the same thing.

 

I don't think it matters all that much. If at all possible, use 60hz progressive scan.

Assuming the 59.94Hz version is not interlaced, but uses progressive scan like 60Hz should, the difference in speed is a mere 0.1% - and in absolute terms, it's 0.01ms

 

No human on Earth can tell apart a refresh rate difference of 0.01ms - it's impossible. So functionally, the two refresh rates are identical.
