hi i was wondering since corsair dont specify the max tdp on their iCUE H100x RGB ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler i wanted to know if some of you on LTT forum did know the max tdp on the specific aio and tell me is it overkill for my system running windows 10 on an intel i7-6700k 4 cores 8 threads clocked 4.2ghz at max

Totally and also silly to buy a cooler that is like over half the price of getting you a twice as good cpu in the pc 😛

A thermalright peerless assassin 120 is already overkill but well its 35$ and performs better than the h100x.

Because its not a useful stat to mention for coolers. TDP alone doesn't tell the whole story.

You can cool a 6700k with a $20-30 air cooler though, don't waste your money.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2

Ryzen 7 5800x - XFX RX6600 - Asus STRIX B550i - 32GB DDR4-3200CL14 - Corsair SF750 - Lian Li O11 Mini - EK 360 AIO - Asus PG348Q
