I've wanted to upgrade my PC for gaming and video editing for a little while now, and I'm finally making steps in that direction. But the number of graphics cards to choose from is dizzying, so I was hoping I could get some recommendations, please.

Budget: 100-400 USD (am willing to go a little above if it's really good)

My Current Setup:

runs Ubuntu

Motherboard - ASRock H310CM-HDV/M.2 LGA 1151

Processor - Intel® Pentium(R) Gold G5400 CPU

Things I want to run:

Games - Black Mesa, Hi-fi Rush, Stray, A hat in time

Davinci Resolve

If you need more info, let me know. Thank you in advance!

country?

which workload takes priority over the other? cause a video editing focused system will look a little different

full specs of system? mainly stuff like ram capacity + config and the psu

I'd get an i5-9400/9500/9600 (6-core, so gets you 4 more cores) for CPU (make sure the BIOS supports), maybe up to i7-8700 (adds hyperthreading) if the price is not too high, together with a RX 7600 XT 16GB or RTX 3060 12GB.

From what I'm aware, AMD performs decently in Davinci Resolve (the 7600 XT performs very well in the below video) so you don't need to buy nvidia for this.

USA

Gaming over Video Editing. basically, video editing would be nice, but is not a piority.

RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 16BG DDR4

PSU: Corsair Vengeance 650M                v                                                    v

Also, the Motherboard is a ASRock H310M-HDV/M.2 not a ASRock H310CM-HDV/M.2. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Get the best you can afford

Dont half ass this purchase

Dont half ass the next

https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Speedster-SWFT319-Graphics-RX-68XLAQFD9/dp/B09KW68M2G/

Performance comparable to the 7700XT

Lower TDP than the 7700XT

4GB more VRAM than the 7700XT

Not limited to 8 PCIE lanes like the 7700XT
