I have a nikon d3300 and I would like to upgrade it for somthing better for street photography. The d3300 is heavy and large with fixed screen. So I want to buy "new"  used camera. The new camera should be mirrorles and relativly small with interchangable lens, and it would be nice if it had articulated or flip up screen. What would you recommend?

Maybe try finding an Sony A6400 Body only on Ebay?

I am not an export on sub 800$ cameras, so I'd just  save up to smth proper if possible, but if you find an A6400 on eBay for your budget and it meets your needs, absolutely go for it, it's awesome for street photography, or if the budget doubles somehow, go maybe for an EOS 90D which would have a flip out screen, BUT IS DLSR LIKE YOUR NIKON! [unlike the Sony which is mirrorless]

The 90D is rather small and agile like the Sony with the perk of being an absolute wild life beast, so I'd imagine it quite good for street photography as well.

!!!THE SONY OR ANY OTHER NON DLSR WILL REQUIRE AN LENS ADAPTER!!!

Don't forget to mark the solution!

  • 3 weeks later...

I have been using my T7i for street photography and candid photos for years and have loved it. My only qualm is that it does not sip the battery it chuggs it. In a normal day of 700 photos or so I will go through 2 batteries with the screen off half the time.
