It's improved by miles since release.

No, it's not direct competition for AMD / NVidia yet.  (Esp on older titles.)

But if you want to try something different, it's a solid option now.

I'm expecting battlemage to be another BIG step up for Intel in this regard.

I'm of the firm opinion that even now, if you aren't already fully aware of what its like to use Arc, you should probably play it safe and buy something that has a bit more consistent performance. If you're not ready to do a little extra homework for the odd poorly supported game here and there, its not for you.

If that interests you and its a good deal, by all means.

Good in relation to what?

Like everything else with PC hardware, the question is: usage and price.

You got be a bit more careful picking the games want to you play (especially if you have a huge list of not played games on steam) and the power usage (idle & under load) can be a problem.

I'd also avoid it on any PC that doesn't support rebar because the impact is much too high.

Its ok. Pretty usable in most gamig usecases. However the rx6600 is the better card overal and same price/cheaper than the a770.

Creative works? Ha lol no not yet really. Its trickling in a bit.

So whilst useable there is no reason to buy it except for the curiosity of it

We have no news of desktop SKU's for Battlemage at this time. Intel's Computex coverage was last week and there was nothing given to us, that's the absolute latest information.

Oh all that was talk about AI, it sucked yeah. Hey didn't Gamers Nexus talk about a Battlemage rumor im sure of it could be wrong tho anyway ill leave it be. Im just hooping it's for Desktop, us gamers need more competition in the gpu world. As im not interested in paying around $1000-$2000 for a new gpu & put a block on it, so im hoping on Intel to bring us a good 1. They have learnt a lot so anythings possible hence intel allowing them to do so that is.

If Intel has a GPU that competes with a $1000 Nvidia card, what makes you think that Intel wouldn't price it similar to nvidia?

So many posters here think that Intel will undercut Nvidia by hundreds of dollars. That won't happen.
